Louisville's 84th Annual Fall Festival and Labor Day Parade

The highlight of the weekend for many is the Labor Day Parade which takes over the streets of Downtown Louisville on Labor Day morning. Be sure to try out some of the other fun activities including the Bocce Ball Tournament, Children's Pet Parade, Homemade Pie Contest and more! See the schedule below for more information.

FRIDAY, August 30, 5-7pm
27TH ANNUAL SENIOR DINNER, 5pm
Memory Square Park, 801 Grant Avenue
The Annual Senior Dinner is Louisville’s recognition of our community seniors who give so much throughout the year to make Louisville a special place to live and work. The evening will include live music, door prizes, and a chicken dinner with all the trimmings. Seniors (65+) will also have a sneak preview of the Louisville Art Associations National Juried Art Show. This event is FREE to Louisville’s seniors and no RSVP is required.
SATURDAY, August 31
BOCCE TOURNAMENT, 8:30am-5pm
Memory Square Park, 801 Grant Avenue
This traditional tournament will take place at the bocce courts in Memory Square Park on Saturday, September 1st. Pre-register by calling Angelo DeSimone, 720-201-7923 to reserve a spot now! Space is limited. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.
PINTS IN THE PARK, Noon -4pm
Join the Chamber of Commerce for their 5th Annual Pints in the Park in Community Park from 12-4pm! $25/Ticket; $30 at the door. Purchase tickets at www.pintsintheparkco.com We will have many local breweries giving out sample tastes of their delicious beer and live music from Upside Up Band! Entry fee of $25 gets you unlimited sample tastes of the beer and a Souvenir Glass! $30 at the door. Don't want to drink? Designated Drivers are free! Just go online and get a DD ticket for entry! Tickets are limited and the price goes up the day of the event so make sure to get yours today! Last year was SO much fun! You won't want to miss the fun we have in store for 2019!

This nationally juried art exhibition features a dynamic and select group of artists displaying an exceptional, diverse range of compelling works from throughout the United States. 100 works of art were chosen from a field of over 500. Sponsored by the Louisville Art Association, the Louisville Fine Arts Show is one of the premiere art exhibitions in the area. The show is free and the public is invited to attend. CHILDREN’S PET PARADE
8-8:45AM: Registration at corner of Main and Walnut Streets (Near Chase Bank)
9am: Pet Parade on Main Street
Children and their pets can parade on Main Street! All children will receive treat bags, participant ribbons, and popsicles compliments of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 111. Trophies will be awarded to the Best of Show in each age group. Participants will be judged on originality, crowd pleaser and costume. The parade begins near the corner of Walnut and Main Street and ends at City Hall. It is FREE to participate in the pet parade. All children 12 and under are invited to bring their pets and come be a part of the fun!
84th ANNUAL LABOR DAY PARADE
10am: Parade begins
Enjoy the floats and appearances by community groups, youth groups, and local businesses! The 84th Annual Labor Day parade begins at 10am near Main and Lafayette Streets and moves south on Main Street ending near Elm Street. Judge’s stand will be located at the intersection of Main and Spruce. Come early to get a good spot along the parade route and enjoy the Children’s Parade at 9am. Parade winners will be announced and trophies awarded at approximately 1pm in Memory Square Park.
LABOR DAY FALL FESTIVAL
MEMORY SQUARE PARK, 801 Grant Avenue, Louisville
Be sure to stop by the Labor Day Fall Festival for a whole day of activities on Labor Day. Located just 2 blocks west of Main Street, Memory Square Park is home to the Louisville Center for the Arts where you can visit the National Fine Art and Photography show and the outdoor Memory Square Pool, which will offer free swimming all day long. Throughout the day, enjoy fine art, craft and information booths. Food trucks will be on site with a variety of tasty offerings. And, there will be children’s activities galore including face painting, Henna tattoos, bounce houses and inflatable fun.

Stop by Memory Square Park for breakfast before the Labor Day Parade. Louisville United Methodist Church will host a pancake breakfast with all-you-can-eat pancakes. Proceeds help support youth programs.

End your summer with a free day of swimming! After the parade come to Memory Square Park, grab some lunch, check out vendors, listen to live music and hit the pool! It’s a perfect plan for your Labor Day.
MAGIC SHOWS AND BALOON TWISTING
11am-1:00 PM, NE corner of Memory Square Park
Magician Ed Aragoni will delight families with free magic shows and balloon twisting. New shows begin every 30 minutes throughout the day.
HOMEMADE PIE CONTEST
11:00am: Pie Contest Judging and Pie Sales Begin, Memory Square Park, under the white tent
You’ve heard it for years and now is your time to prove that YOU are the best pie maker in the County! This annual event features three categories: Cream, Apple, Fruit and/or Nuts. Prizes will be awarded in each category, as well as, one Overall Pie Master!” The Pie Master’s photo will be hung in the Huckleberry Restaurant for year-round bragging rights.
Beginning at 11:00am a panel of distinguished and well-qualified pie aficionados will begin tasting and judging the pies. Upon entering the contest all pies become property of the Pie Contest Committee. After judging takes place the remaining pie will be sold by the slice. Make sure to buy a slice and get a taste of what makes Louisville so delicious! Registration forms are available at The Huckleberry at 700 Main Street or online at LouisvilleCO.gov. The Contest is limited to 60 entries. We highly recommend that contestants pre-register their pie(s) by turning in their registration form to The Huckleberry no later than noon, Sept. 1.
