Rail Fair & Steamup at the Colorado Railroad Museum

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 08/13/2022
Join us at the Colorado Railroad Museum for an end-of-summer Rail Fair & Steamup event featuring special programming plus steam-powered train rides! Celebrate the role railroads have played in Colorado’s agricultural, mining, and transportation history, and ride behind one of the last coal-fired steam locomotives operating in Colorado. Catch turntable demonstrations and more happening around the Museum’s 15-acre railyard, and enjoy a variety of activities and photo opportunities–including Spike, the Railroad Dog (the Museum’s very own mascot!). Food and tasty treats available for purchase, too. Grounds open 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with special programs and activities taking place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Train Rides depart every half-hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
