Free Days occur throughout the year, thanks to funding from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD). No tickets are needed for admission to Free Days. Free Days are for regular Gardens hours only and do not include ticketed events.

The Greek goddess Athena saw owls as protectors while the Hopi see burrowing owls as gods of death. Come learn about the owls native to Aurora and some of the mythology historically associated with them.
Enjoy birding at our songbird feeding stations, or peruse our seasonally changing exhibits on local plants and animal life. Costumes, blocks, puppets, kids' books, and live animal exhibits make Morrison Nature Center for kids, too.
The Plains Conservation Center is a true-to-life homestead: Historic ranch houses, a schoolhouse, blacksmith shop and barn plus an heirloom garden and chicken coop and a Cheyenne camp with tipis bring the experience to life year-round to the public.
The Senac Creek Nature Center features a stunning photography display, and encourages educational play with electronic games, hand-made puzzles and animal costumes. Learn about Aurora ecosystems, food chains and the importance of water to our natural and human communities through interactive, rotating exhibits. Entrance to the nature center and reservoir property is FREE if visiting the nature center ONLY.
