Established in 1996 by Lily Nie and Joshua Zhong, the Joyous Chinese Cultural School(JCCS) exists to provide cultural and emotional support to adopted Chinese children and to offer Chinese cultural and language education to children and adults of all backgrounds in our communities and across the country. At Joyous Chinese Cultural School, we offer semester long Mandarin Chinese, traditional Chinese dance classes and Lion dance club to children and adults. We also provide field trip programs for elementary to high school students. The Park is excited to offer summer Chinese cultural camps through its Joyous Chinese Cultural School (JCCS). Come learn Chinese art, language, dance, cooking, history, and martial arts! Our summer cultural camps introduce campers to China’s rich history and immerse them in its beautiful culture through exciting, unique workshops and activities! With education rooted in adoption, our summer camps focus on cultural connection and celebration without the expectation of previous knowledge. All camps are day camps, led by passionate teachers and supported by amazing camp counselors! In 2023, we are offering FOUR in-person camp options for grades 1st-12th. Registration now open! Space is limited! Visit theparkcommunity.org/jccs-summer-camps for more information and to register.
