A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KAMPER

Kampers arrive at kamp and are greeted by hundreds of huddle leaders, excited middle and high school students, ready to welcome them in. After settling into their huddles and meeting their huddle leaders, kamp kicks off with raucous cheers, funny skits and the awarding of points to their team.

For most of the morning, kampers participate in their assigned sport. They spend the morning with their huddle leaders and coaches learning the basics of their chosen sport. By the end of the week they are bonafide experts-ish in their sport.

After sport time wraps up, kampers eat lunch and then Klub begins. Hilarious skits, foot-stomping music and encouraging lessons about the Christian faith fill the hour in the middle of the day. When Klub ends, competition begins.

Every kamper is assigned to Team Thunder or Team Lightning for the entire week. Throughout the week, teams Thunder and Lightning compete against each other to collect points with the ultimate goal of receiving an icy juicy (just an Otter Pop, but might as well be a Super Bowl ring) and be named Super Kids Champion.

Each afternoon kampers compete in wild and crazy games and challenges with hundreds of thousands of points on the line. Counselors and coaches facilitate the games and award points for winning as well as good sportsmanship and team spirit.

Before kampers head home for the day, point totals are revealed and the daily winner is rewarded with fruit snacks! Kampers and huddle leaders head home exhausted, but filled with anticipation for the next day of kamp.
