This class is designed to support the continuing oil painter to expand on their painting journey. We will take a deeper dive into color theory, value, composition and build on our foundations to create a variety of oil paintings. This class combines step by step guidance and one-on-one conversations to support all students in their progression towards their own unique painting process and style. As a continuing class students will be able to delve deeper into areas of interest. Students will work from still-life arrangements, learn to use photo references of landscapes and more to create compositions that portray accurate values and form. The instructor will give demonstrations and brief lessons, with most of the class spent learning through hands-on experience. Come join our supportive studio community! Student's will purchase most of their materials. This class has an additional materials fee for shared studio materials including paper towels, charcoal, etc. Please note that we are a solvent-free studio and use walnut oil (provided) in our oil painting classes.
