Kentucky Derby Celebration

Restaurants such as Ted’s Montana Grill, The Lost Cajun, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Bent Barley Brewing Company and Legends Coffee will be selling light bites along with beverages of all kinds to celebrate this festive event.
Southlands will give away gift card prizes for various contests such as best hat and best dressed. Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their finest seersucker pants, spring dresses and derby hats.
Derby perfect outfits can be found at Southlands’ Apricot Lane and Mainstream Boutique. Southlands’ newest women’s clothing store, Calla Vie Boutique, will even carry hats and fascinators.
There will also be a Kid’s Corral with various games and miniature horses from Peachy Farms, a local charitable organization that helps the elderly, special needs community, and young children by providing therapy and education with their farm animals.
