Collaborating with esteemed cultural partners including the Consulate General of Mexico in Denver, the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico, and Calaveras en mi Ciudad, the Butterfly was able to bring this cultural exhibit to life. These partnerships enriched the exhibit b providing authentic cultural insights and ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive presentation of Mexico’s diverse cultural narratives were preserved.

Legacies: Invertebrates of Mexico comes at a critical time as the culturally significant invertebrate, the Monarch butterfly, are rapidly decreasing in population due to habitat loss. Highlighting Butterfly Pavilion’s commitment to global conservation, the exhibit features our ambitious project to restore the vital Monarch butterfly habitat in Mexico’s Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, gaining insights into how local and international initiatives are making tangible difference for these iconic pollinators.
