Join us for Open Access Pottery, a fun studio session for continuing ceramic artists. During Open Access session, you have access to the ceramics studio for independent wheel throwing. Bring your own ideas for projects and a desire to create while you enjoy the community of other potters.
Registration for Open Access includes all evening Open Access hours on your selected day of the week--come and go as you wish! If you are registering during a semester when multiple Open Access classes are held please note that you cannot attend classes that are not on your selected day of the week. This is an excellent opportunity to continue your artistic practice in a supportive and casual environment. Please note that Open Access does not include any instruction or instructor time. You should be a proficient working independently in pottery in order to register for Open Access. A prior Adult Wheel class at the studio is a pre-requisite for this class.
MATERIAL FEE DETAILS:
School-Year Class: The materials fee includes one 25-lb bag of clay, glaze, and firing fees. An additional 25-lbs of clay is available for purchase. The maximum amount of clay that can be purchased for the semester is 50-lbs. Each student will be limited to two bags of clay. Outside clay and glazes are not allowed.
Summer Class: The materials fee includes one 25-lb bag of clay, glaze, and firing fees. No additional clay can be purchased in the summer. Each student will be limited to one bag of clay. Outside clay and glazes are not allowed.
There's no open studio time during Summer Session. If you miss a class, you're welcome to attend on a Wednesday evening, 6:30-8:30pm, however this time is reserved for make up classes, not open to everyone. There's no instruction during this time; it is an independent work opportunity.
