Saturday Clay Day: Mug Making - Saturday, March 29th (adult)

Join us at Clay Hub on select Saturday afternoons for our Clay Day Workshops! These one-time workshops focus on a different topic each class, with a variety of projects for all levels of ceramic artists -- brand new through seasoned veteran. (Occasionally, you'll notice some workshops open to members and current students only, but most are for everyone!) After building our pieces, we'll use underglazes to add color and details. Ceramic work will then be left at Tinker to be fired and will be ready for pick up 3-4 weeks after your workshop.
In this workshop, we'll create one or two hand built mugs (plan for one, but depending on your working pace/expeience with clay, you might make two!) as we learn slab construction technique. Taking into account your personal preferences for mugs, including size, handle shape and style, you'll finally get that perfect mug you've been searching for! (Okay, well maybe not perfect, we don't like that word.) Making your own mug is a rewarding process with a very functional outcome. Plus, if your cabinet is full up at home, mugs make great gifts!
