Train Rides at the Colorado Railroad Museum
Take a Train Ride pulled by a powerful diesel electric locomotive on Saturdays mid-January through mid-May, late-August & October. Over the summer season, that frequency increases, with Train Rides available Thursday-Sunday from mid-May through mid-August. During the 2026 summer season, Friday rides are aboard the Galloping Goose, offering a unique historic experience, while Thursday, Saturday and Sunday rides are powered by a diesel‑electric locomotive.

Rides depart every 30 minutes from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Train rides in our historic coaches, pulled by one of the Museum's diesel-electric locomotives, are wheelchair accessible.
Please note that the Galloping Goose is not wheelchair accessible.
