Great Backyard Bird Count- Barr Lake State Park

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 02/16/2019
Join Bird Conservancy staff and volunteers as we participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC)!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

The GBBC was created in 1998 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the Audubon Society. It was the first ever online citizen science project to collect data on wild birds and to display results in near real time.

Participants will be split into groups and lead by a Bird Conservancy staff or volunteer to count as many birds as they can around Barr Lake State Park. The final tallies will be entered into eBird and your fun and hard work will contribute to bird conservation science!
