Rocky Mountain BalloonFest

Balloons of all colors and shapes will launch as the sun rises Saturday and Sunday to amaze the whole family.

Following the balloon flights there will be many activities throughout the morning and the afternoon as well as a variety of food vendors, exhibitors, arts & crafts vendors, demonstrations, kids area and more. Stay throughout the day to enjoy all that Chatfield State Park has to offer for a fun family weekend in the outdoors. Saturday evening also features the awe inspiring Balloon Glow where the balloons stand inflated on the ground and as the sun sinks behind the foothills start to glow like giant colorful bulbs.
What Does It Cost?
The BalloonFest is FREE with admission to the State Park. If you have an annual Colorado State Park pass, come on it! If you do not have an annual pass the day pass is $8.00 per vehicle at the gate (no buses) or you can purchase your day pass for ease of entry online on our website shortly. Off C-470 south at Wadsworth. Enter at Deer Creek Canyon entrance.

Saturday and Sunday Mass Ascensions 7:00am daily*
Morning Events and Activities 7:00am-10:00am (or as long as you wish to stay in the Park!)
Afternoon Events and Activities 4:00pm-8:30pm
Saturday Balloon Glow 7:15pm-8:15pm*
*All Balloon Flights are dependent upon weather conditions
*Balloons will depart the launch field after they inflate and will not be at the event grounds all morning.
