Wildlife Drive at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

Take the Refuge's 11-mile Wildlife Drive in your vehicle to see bison, deer, hawks, waterfowl and more! Along the way there are parking lots near trail heads to hike the more than 10 miles of trails. It's free and a great way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Refuge.

Wildlife Drive
• The 11-mile self-guided auto wildlife drive takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
• The Wildlife Drive is open to motorized vehicles; speed limit is 30 mph.
• Follow the directional symbols.
• Stay on paved roads and observe all posted signs such as “Stay in Vehicle” or “Area Closed”.
• Stay in your vehicle while in the bison enclosure areas, which are marked by signs and cattle guards.
• Always stay at least 75 feet (23 meters) away from bison.
